Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and fully cooked. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Gravy
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until it forms a roux (paste) and turns golden brown.
Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
Continue to cook and stir for 4-5 minutes until the gravy thickens.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the Chicken and Gravy
Pour the gravy over the cooked chicken breasts and serve hot.
